The fundamental elements of radiography
Question: How common is clinical reasoning among radiographers and how does it affect their acting and thinking?
Method: The survey was conducted by an online questionnaire. Participants were asked to answer questions in a self-assessment form.
Result: About 5 per cent of radiographers are familiar with clinical reasoning. A small effect was measurable, but it was more pronounced in the group of radiotherapists.
Conclusion: Clinical reasoning could be a way to improve the quality of care by radiographers. Their acting will be more focused on the patients’ needs.
